Abdullah Al Asif

Abdullah Al Asif is a researcher in the field of Transportation Engineering. He is currently working as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Maine, ME, USA. He previously completed his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from BUET, the top engineering university in Bangladesh. While growing up in Bangladesh, he witnessed how city dwellers were stuck in chronic congestion, while thousands of people die in traffic accidents on highways every year. This experience motivated him to pursue research aimed at creating faster and safer roads for everyone. His work focuses on Connected and Autonomous Vehicles, Adaptive Traffic Signal Control, Traffic Flow Optimization, and Traffic Safety.
